Party and event questions
Are parties allowed at Serenity Woods?
Yes. Parties and events are permitted, unlike many Connecticut rentals, as long as the group follows the house rules and local laws.
Can we play music outside?
A sound system for indoor and outdoor use is provided for guests. No additional amplified music is allowed outdoors because of a town ordinance.
What happens if the police are called for noise?
The guest may face immediate eviction without a refund and forfeit the security deposit, and is responsible for any town fines.
How old must the booking guest be?
The primary guest must be at least 25 years old and present at the property for the entire stay. We may ask for government-issued ID.
Are decorations, confetti and glitter allowed?
Balloons, banners and photo backdrops are fine. Confetti, glitter, Silly String, water balloons, slime and Orbeez are not allowed and fall under excessive-cleaning charges.
Can we bring a DJ, caterer or private chef?
Yes. Bring your own vendors. Vendor insurance certificates are required before the event.
How many people can attend a party or event?
The cabin sleeps 21 overnight. Weddings of 20 to 60 guests fit best, and 100 guests have been seated indoors for dinner. Tell us your headcount for a quote.
Is smoking allowed?
No smoking or vaping indoors. Outdoor smoking is allowed if cigarette butts go in a trash receptacle.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome. Let us know when you book.
